Memorial: Remembering Nancy Stacy, ASA
Nancy Stacy, ASA, passed away at 81 years old on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Nancy was an independent appraiser of fine jewelry in the San Francisco Bay Area who had been a part of the jewelry profession since 1980. Ms. Stacy earned her Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 1984 and operated a Contra Costa Gem Lab, which is a state-of-the-art Certified Laboratory of the Accredited Gemologists Association.
For nearly 34 years, Nancy was an active member of the ASA and held many leadership positions, including most notably serving on the Board of Governors, Gems & Jewelry Discipline Committee Chair and ASA NorCal Chapter President.
Nancy was a course instructor for ASA’s Master Gemologist course, as well as ASA’s Gems & Jewelry POV courses and earned her ASA Lifetime Member Award in 2013.
