Mitch Helman oversees AuctionTime.com, a global online auction platform for construction, agriculture, and transportation assets. In his 17-year career with Sandhills Publishing—an information processing company that connects buyers and sellers across these industries—Helman has worked closely with inspectors, appraisers, dealerships, auctioneers, municipalities, and contractors to mitigate risk and liquidate assets profitably.

Matt Sterup is Sales Manager of Construction and VIP for Sandhills Global. He specializes in New Business Development, Technical Sales, and Product Management. Sandhills Global serves the trucking, agriculture, construction, heavy machinery, aviation, and technology industries with a diverse range of products and services from well-established trade publications and websites to hosted technology services customized to meet the evolving needs of their customers.

Jeff Rauland is Chief Appraiser at Consolidated Analytics, overseeing all property appraisal and valuation performance initiatives, including management of the company’s property valuation appraisers, analysts, review staff, and third-party appraisers. Jeff is responsible for ensuring ethical, accurate, and compliant property reports and analysis, developing policies and procedures and adopting technology and data products to enhance product quality. He also plays a central role in valuation product development. Jeff joins Consolidated Analytics as a 30+ year mortgage banking executive with deep experience in all aspects of residential and commercial property valuation, appraisal industry standards, appraisal regulation, property analytics, housing market conditions, and appraisal technology. Jeff joins Consolidated Analytics after a recent stint as Director, Valuation Policy for UBS Bank. Over the course of his career, he has held executive roles for reputable businesses in the US, including Goldman Sachs, Opus Capital Market Advisors, Washington Mutual Bank, Land America, and Investec.

David Fry is a certified residential appraiser with 37 years of experience in the residential arena and over 40 years in financial and real estate industries. As AmeriHome Mortgage’s VP of Risk Appraisal, David is considered the Company’s appraisal subject matter expert and oversees QC appraisal operations, repurchase reviews and investigations for the organization’s Risk division. David’s team of seasoned appraisers provide support and training for all of the company’s business units, including management of AMC relationships. Prior to signing on with AmeriHome in 2014 as the company’s first appraiser, David worked as an independent appraiser, chief appraiser for an internet-based lender, AMC branch manager and as appraisal quality control and operations manager for financial institutions. As time permits, David continues to work as a professional musician.

Steven Munson, CFA, ASA, is a Senior Manager in CohnReznick Advisory Group’s Valuation Advisory Services practice and is based in the New York office. CohnReznick performs hundreds of valuation and financial advisory engagements annually for mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity funding, buy/sell, financial reporting, estate and income tax purposes, litigation support, and strategic planning. Steven has particular expertise related to energy and purchase price allocations. Steven has experience in performing energy valuations in numerous technologies, including: Solar; Wind; Biomass; Hydropower; Coal-fired; Natural Gas-fired Combustion (Combined Cycle, Cogeneration, Simple Cycle); Nuclear; Municipal Solid Waste; and Oil & Gas Midstream and Downstream Assets. He has earned the professional designation with the American Society of Appraisers as an Accredited Senior Appraiser and is also a CFA Charterholder.

Byron Miller is a certified residential appraiser and the owner and principal appraiser of BM Appraisals. His firm specializes in valuation services for consulting, divorce, estate, litigation, relocation and right of way. Hi niche is valuing complex properties and his experience ranges from agricultural, lakefront, multi-unit, and upper-bracket properties. He is an instructor, course developer, author, eminent domain county commissioner and a member of the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) of The Appraisal Foundation (TAF).

Jason Tillema, SRA, AI-RRS, ASA, IFA, is a residential appraiser at Access Valuation in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has over 24 years of experience in valuing residential properties, specializing in unique, complex, and high-end housing. Mr Tillema has been an active and designated member of various Appraisal and REALTOR organizations for the past 16 years and has held several leadership positions within the organizations.

Karl Schwabauer, CPA, CFF, CVA is a senior member of the Business Advisory Services Team at Rosenfield & Co. He has over 22 years of experience providing expert valuation, economic damages, and forensic accounting services for litigation and disputes, as well as extensive experience providing valuation and accounting services for non‐litigation purposes such as transaction advisory, financial reporting, and tax. Throughout his career, Mr. Schwabauer has been actively involved in CPE and CLE training for numerous groups, accounting and consulting firms, law firms and bar associations.

Sean Saari is a partner in Marcum’s Advisory Services group. He helps clients address their valuation, litigation support, tax, financial reporting, strategic planning and business advisory needs. Mr. Saari assists valuation and litigation support clients by developing credible and defensible analyses and he has testified as a financial and valuation expert numerous times. He has a practice concentrated in the areas of business valuations, litigation advisory services, domestic disputes, shareholder disputes, financial reporting, complex damages analysis and modeling, strategic planning, succession and estate planning, and mergers and acquisitions. On the business advisory side, Mr. Saari helps clients proactively manage their businesses to plan and prepare for growth while staying on top of their tax and accounting compliance requirements. He is a frequent author and speaker on valuation, litigation advisory, business management and other financial topics.

Gary R. Trugman, CPA/ABV, FASA, MVS is the President of Trugman Valuation Associates Inc., a business valuation and economic damages firm with offices in Florida. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Florida, and is designated as an Accredited Business Valuer by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA) and a Fellow Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation by The American Society of Appraisers. Gary has a master’s degree in Valuation Sciences from Lindenwood College. Gary has been very active with numerous committees of various accounting and valuation professional organizations. He has authored a textbook entitled Understanding Business Valuation, now published by Business Valuation Resources (6th ed.), has coauthored several other textbooks, has authored educational courses for several organizations and has authored articles in various publications. Gary has served on the faculty on the National Judicial College and has testified throughout the country in both Federal and state courts. He lectures and teaches business valuation topics all over the country for various organizations.
