The course featured lectures, group activities and case study reviews. The case studies, in particular, included finding appropriate values for a Kraft process paper/pulp recovery boiler rated at 587,000 LBS/hour and also calculating by the buildup method for the various levels of values for a 10,000 BBL/day output capacity Butamer isomerization system.

Students worked together as a team discussing and applying the tools taught by the Machinery and Technical Specialties Discipline to arrive at the various values for these assets using the Cost, Market and Income approaches before developing from their data their final conclusions of value.
